The major goals of the quality policy of the SFB are the correctness and reproducibility of the generated results as well as the exploitation of the multidisciplinarity for efficient generation of novel knowledge by innovative strategies.
Quality management is a method to ensure that all activities necessary to achieve these goals are effective and efficient. Therefore, a comprehensive system of relevant regulations was established and has to be controlled. But in addition to this administrative part, a major mean of quality management is the optimization of interfaces. Hence, a considerable mission of the QM in the SFB is to increase the transparency inside the SFB, to stimulate and facilitate communication and to give topical impulses. In order to provide a common platform for the exchange of results and the design of collaborations, a comprehensive database will be established.
